悲慘世界歌劇中的"Stars"

前陣子讀桑德爾的《正義》，讀到康德的章節時，心中想的就是悲慘世界歌劇中的"Stars"。

《悲慘世界》，是法國作家雨果作品，改編成歌劇，唱"Stars"的就是警官 Javert，他不畏生死艱難，一心要緝捕逃犯 Valjean 歸案。這首歌就是他追到 Valjean，卻又眼睜睜的看著從他手中逃脫，向繁星立誓，所唱的歌。

Javert 後來卻被 Valjean 救了一命，後又有次逮捕 Valjean 的機會，因為他曾是他救命恩人而放他脫逃，但他一生堅守法律就是正義，放了逃犯是有虧職守，Valjean 現在又已經洗心革面了，又何況Valjean 當初進監獄也是因為整個法律制度和社會的問題。同時也懷疑自己過去所堅守的法律道德，是否其實是在迫害窮苦人群，而非行上帝的義。無法面對自己下投水自盡。

康德認為存在絕對的道德，不能用功利的角度，看多少人受害，來判別道德的是非，但不用結果來判別道德，又怎麼論斷誰的道德比較道德呢?

Javert 的悲劇，提醒自己不要輕易以道德論斷他人。
